GUIDE to TAXIDERMY eBook Charles K Reed Chester A Reed Reviews
This book would make a great foundation of understanding how to do taxidermy. Because this book is from 1908 many methods or products may be out dated in use, such as arsenic. I was hopeful in that it would show how to make glass eyes but it does not. Has a reference of what style and size they should be.
I'm happy with this book.
This is a great taxidermy book. It covers almost everything you need to know about classic taxidermy. For that, I highly recommend this book.
There are two things, however. The first is that this book is an exact reprint of the same book published in 1908. That makes this book over 100 years old, so the language is that old, as well (no big deal). Moreover, though, the chemicals used are that old. No one poisons animal skin with arsenic, anymore. Past that, though, this book will be just fine.
The second thing is that these types of books can be downloaded for free on Google Books. Not this one exactly, but books just as detailed and similar to it.
Great price, quick delivery, overall positive experience! Would buy from this seller again!!
Very nice book with great step by step instructions on how to do everything need from the actual skinning to building a realistic mount for the animal.
Wouldn’t buy again
