Together Forever Forever Series #2 edition by Vicki Green Kathy Krick Romance eBooks
After reading the first book in the series I have to admit I was a little scared to read the second one. Together Forever was fantastic. The story was great. I loved Shane and Allie. I was enthralled from the beginning and hooked till the end. Infact I didn't want it to end. Shane was true to his word, he did everything he could to protect his love Allie, they had their ups and downs and had a few hospital visits but I didn't feel like I was running around trying to catch up with this book like I did the first one.If you didn't like the first book, honestly give this one a chance. You won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

Together Forever Forever Series #2 edition by Vicki Green Kathy Krick Romance eBooks Reviews
Stand alone, but if you read the first one you will have a better background. Shane and Allie have been best friends since they met. Now it's time to take it to the next level. You can feel how much they love each other. This is a sweet story with a few bumps in the road via her ex. Through everything Shane loved his Allie. Dual point of view. A few new characters are introduced, and we get to revisit characters from book one.
I love romance. I LOVE love. I love sweet protective men. I love bad boys. I love when best friends fall in love. But I could NOT love this book. I hate leaving critical reviews. I always struggle with how to make them more about constructive criticism and less about just bashing a book. But I am going to try so here we go...
First of all the concept and plot in this story are fairly good. But the writing style is slightly juvenile and one dimensional. It has TOO MUCH of everything. Too much slang, too much shorthand, too much 'my sexy man', 'my darling', 'my love', etc...Just TOO much. A little of that stuff is great and lovely, but too much and you just feels like you are re-reading the same passages over and over again. All the sex and swear words didn't bother me, it was just the constant repeating of the same lines over and over. It also felt like it was young teenagers talking to each other and not grown adults.
I also felt like there was supposed to be a level of danger and suspense in the story, but I found my self rolling my eyes at most of it. I skipped and skimmed a lot of pages, which is something I NEVER do. I had to force myself to finish.
I realize they are a lot of high ratings for this book and not really any critical reviews. Which is why I am writing one...believe me I don't want to be the bad guy. Lol ; ) I just think there needs to be a different opinion out there. I read a lot of books, a really ridiculously large amount thats almost embarrassing; so I try to write some reviews when I can get the chance. Hopefully this review comes across as constructive and will help someone... = )
Shane and Allie are completely smitten with each other from the first moment they meet. Shane can't keep his eyes off of her let alone her hand he is still holding onto.
Allie has left her job and is staying with her Jesse, her brother, and Cassie. Her Dad is not happy she is not working for him any longer and doesn't support her decision to become a writer.
Shane is taken with her, wants to know her. So begins their friendship that blooms into a beautiful love. Then someone from Allie's past has found her. Shane and Allie fight to keep the love they have and each other.
Book 2 in Vicki Green's Forever series, and I have to say that I'm still loving this series! We meet Shane & Allie in book 1, which is Allie's brother, Jesse's story. Shane & Allie have an instant connection & become best friends. They each have feelings for the other, but take their time before revealing those feelings. Time-wise, not story-wise. Story-wise, we get to jump right into the I love you's a few pages in. I LOVE IT! ) There's some heavy stuff going on (Allie has a stalker), but the issues and angst all happen outside of the relationship, which makes this story a joy to read even during the crazy dark times.
I do tend to get a little confused since the story takes place in Kansas & the guys all talk like they're from Australia, but I haven't spent a lot of time in KS, so maybe that's how they talk there, too?
Looking forward to book 3, Tuck & Paxton's story. )
It's been a while since I read My Savior Forever...so finally I got around to reading the second book in the Forever series. This one was just so sweet and romantic compared to how the first book started...but still had some tense moments (Vicki Green writes good damsel in distress stories and the beautiful sexy and loving men who rescue them).
This book tells the story of Jesse's little sister Allie and Shane, the man who starts off as a friend and then becomes so much more...and asks the question if two people can find strength in their love despite whatever bad things the past can bring back to threaten that happiness.
Another loving and light romantic read perfect for the beach or just relaxing in bed.
**** 4 **** "you are my new addiction" stars
Waaay too many F-bombs. Waaaay too many details about Every. Little. Thing. I've known a couple people in my life that love the F word, but even they don't use it this much. The sex scenes were ridiculous. Like that's all they know how to do.
I think that the storyline would've been really, really great, without the use of soo many F-bombs and soo much sex. Some of it could've been implied. I found it very unrealistic that every single character used the F-bombs, including the police, who are supposed to be professionals, at least with their "clients".
I've made it almost all the way through the book, but I'm having a hard time. I mean, there have been several times already that it could've/should've ended, but it's still...dragging...on...
I think the Pax/Tuck story could be a good one, but I don't think I will bother, because I can't stand the thought of reading all those F-bombs again.
As someone else said, they wrote the negative review so that there was more than one opinion out there. I hope this helps someone.
